A new Champion Pass has arrived in Kickoff Tactics, and this season’s headline acts are England centre-back Harry Maguire and Italy midfielder Manuel Locatelli. If you’re weighing up whether to spend your cash, or just want to know exactly what’s on the reward trail, this guide covers everything: the full 40-level breakdown, a summary of what free players get, and an honest verdict on whether Premium is worth it.

What Is the Champion Pass?
The Champion Pass is Kickoff Tactics’ seasonal premium pass. It runs alongside the current season and features a 40-level reward trail that you progress through by playing matches and scoring goals.
There are two tiers of reward:
- Free — available to every player at no cost, just by playing
- Premium — unlocked with a one-time purchase of £8.99 in the UK (pricing may vary in other regions)
Purchasing the Premium pass gives you access to both the Premium and Free rewards at every level. Free players only receive the levels explicitly marked as Free.
On top of the reward trail itself, Premium pass holders receive a golden name and avatar frame for the rest of the season — a cosmetic that appears on your profile and in matches.
The Two New Cards
Harry Maguire — 8 Cost | 14 Power | DF
“If this card is in your deck on Turn 8, it will be drawn.”
The big pull this season. Maguire is a hefty 8-cost Defender with 14 Power and one of the most straightforward yet powerful abilities in the game: guaranteed draw on Turn 8. That single line removes all variance from landing your finisher — if Maguire is still in your deck when the final turn arrives, he’s coming to your hand. No luck required.
This makes him a natural fit for high-cost control builds that want to survive to the late game and close out with a 14-Power wall in a key zone. The risk, as with any 8-cost card, is that he’s dead weight if the game is decided before Turn 8 — but in slower, more contested matches, that guaranteed draw is a serious advantage. Pair him with Zones or Tactics that reward high-power cards and he becomes even more threatening.
Manuel Locatelli — 4 Cost | 3 Power | MF
“On Appear: Creates an 8-Cost card in your hand.”
Locatelli’s ability is quietly fascinating. A 4-cost Midfielder who generates an 8-cost card on arrival gives you a significant cost-efficient play — you’re essentially banking a high-value card for later while filling a midfield zone in the present. The key question is which 8-cost card he generates, and whether it’s consistent or random from a pool.
Even if it’s a random 8-cost pull, Locatelli is generating tempo and hand advantage at a low price point, which is exactly what control and combo-style decks want from their midfield.
At 3 Power he won’t win zones on stats alone, so he’s a support piece rather than a power play. But his ability could make him one of the most strategically interesting cards from this pass.

Is the Champion Pass Worth £8.99?
The case for buying:
Locatelli’s On Appear ability generates an 8-cost card, while Maguire’s guaranteed Turn 8 draw means you’re never left unable to close out the game with 14 Power in a key zone. Both cards support the same late-game control archetype, and getting 75 duplicate cards to start upgrading them immediately is a significant head start.
The cosmetic package is also a pull: two avatars, the Alpha card back, and the premium golden frame give Premium buyers a noticeably distinct look in matches and on the leaderboard.
If you’d spend money on packs anyway this season, the pass almost certainly represents better value — you’re getting exclusive cards with built-in upgrade materials, a cosmetic bundle, and a stack of packs for a fixed price.
The case for skipping:
Maguire’s 8-cost means he won’t fit every deck. If you’re running a fast, low-cost aggro build designed to win before Turn 8, he’s a dead card. Similarly, Locatelli’s 3 Power means he’s a pure ability piece — if the 8-cost card he generates doesn’t suit your strategy, he’s not pulling his weight on stats. Neither card is a must-have for every archetype.
Free players still get a legitimate reward trail. Five packs including a Prestige Pack, 425 Coins and 125 Cash is a solid return for just playing the game normally.
The verdict:
If you enjoy the late-game, high-power style of play, this is one of the stronger Champion Passes to date. Maguire is a reliable finisher, and Locatelli is a genuinely interesting combo enabler, so you’re investing in two cards that could anchor your deck for the rest of the season. At £8.99, that’s good value. If aggro is your thing, you can sit this one out and still earn well on the free trail.
