Kickoff Tactics has launched a brand new limited-time game mode — World Arena — and it brings with it a completely free reward trail, exclusive cosmetics, and a new player card as the ultimate prize. Here’s everything you need to know.
What Is World Arena?
World Arena is a new competitive event mode in Kickoff Tactics, running for seven days only. Rather than a seasonal pass you purchase, this is entirely free — every player can participate and every reward on the trail is available to all, with no paywalled tier.
You earn points by playing matches during the event window, and those points progress you along a reward track. The event ends either when the seven days are up or when you reach the final reward, whichever comes first. Once it closes, a new event with fresh rewards will take its place.
How Points Work
Earning points is simple:
| Result | Points |
|---|---|
| Win | 3 Points |
| Draw | 1 Point |
| Loss | 0 Points |
Winning is obviously the fastest route through the track, but draws still count — so even if you’re having a rough run, you’re still making progress.
What Rewards Are Available?
The World Arena reward track includes:
- Cash
- Coins
- Credits
- Standard Packs
- Exclusive Avatar
- Exclusive Emotes
- Exclusive Text Rewards
All of the above are completely free to claim as you progress. No purchase required at any point.
The Ultimate Reward: Jean-Philippe Mateta
Reach the end of the reward track and you’ll unlock the exclusive Jean-Philippe Mateta card:
Our Verdict: Brilliant Mode, But A Big Commitment!
World Arena is a genuinely exciting addition to Kickoff Tactics. A completely free event where every player has access to every reward — including an exclusive card — is exactly the kind of content that makes the game feel generous and rewarding to engage with. The points system is clean and fair, the cosmetic rewards add real character to your profile, and Mateta is a strong card worth chasing.
That said, it’s worth going in with realistic expectations about the ultimate reward.
To claim the Mateta card, you need to reach the end of the reward track within seven days. Working backwards from that: if winning every single match earns you 3 points, you’d need roughly 84 wins across the event to complete the trail — that’s around 12 wins per day, every day, for the full week. Factor in match length, and the fact that you won’t (likely) win every game, and the real time investment for the most competitive players could easily exceed an hour of active play daily.
That’s absolutely fine in itself – events with meaningful prizes should reward meaningful commitment. If you’re a dedicated player who plays consistently every day, World Arena was built for you and Mateta is a realistic target.
But if you’re a more casual player who dips into Kickoff Tactics a few times a week, it’s worth knowing that the Mateta card may be out of reach this time around, and that’s okay too. The intermediate rewards on the trail, including the packs, cash, coins and exclusive cosmetics, are worth picking up regardless of whether you complete the full run. Grab what you can, enjoy the new mode, and don’t stress about hitting the finish line if life gets in the way.
World Arena is live now for seven days. Head into the game to start earning points and check the reward track. Good luck on the pitch — you’ll need it. ⚽
